A living forest,
managed with science.
Seventy-four thousand hectares of preserved Amazon in Cujubim, Rondônia. Since 1983, Manoa has managed the forest sustainably — harvesting only a tiny fraction of its volume and leaving the forest standing, alive and full of wildlife.

74thousand hectares of preserved Amazon.
Manoa is a private reserve in the southwest of the Amazon, in Cujubim, Rondônia — an area equivalent to twice the island of Florianópolis. Fourteen years of study between the acquisition (1983) and the start of harvesting (1997) gave rise to one of the largest private carbon reservoirs in Brazil.
The area is contiguous with the Jamari and Jacundá National Forests and the Samuel Ecological Station, forming a forest block of approximately 591 thousand hectares — essential for ecological corridors, genetic flow between populations and the stability of regional biomes.
Every decision goes through individual tree inventory, fauna and flora monitoring and independent auditing — the result of 69 thousand hectares of Legal Reserve under FSC, PEFC and CERFLOR certified management.
Discover the management
Three pillars of preservation.
Fauna and Flora
There are 360 animal species and more than 177 plant species already identified, with ongoing research and monitoring of Amazon biodiversity.
River Preservation
Protection of the rivers, springs and the Manoa waterfall — sources of water and mineral salts essential for wildlife and the entire biome.
Forest Management
FSC® (C018650), PEFC and CERFLOR certified forest — low-impact management, socially fair and economically viable.
The life the forest protects.
A preserved forest is a forest full of wildlife. Jaguars, primates, birds and reptiles live free in Manoa — 360 animal species already identified, many caught by our camera traps, including the rare melanistic jaguar.
A corridor of life.
Manoa's forest connects to the Jacundá and Jamari National Forests and the Samuel Reserve, forming a continuous block of about 480 thousand hectares. This corridor allows animals to migrate, meet and reproduce safely — maintaining genetic diversity and the balance of the entire region.
The forest that sustains people.
Conserving the forest also means generating work, income and opportunity for Cujubim. Manoa's sustainable management drives the local economy and invests in education, childhood and quality of life.
Where the forest is worth
more standing than felled.
Every hectare conserved is wildlife protected, carbon avoided and income generated — proof that the economy, people and forest can thrive together.
This standing forest is also one of the largest REDD+ carbon projects in Brazil — avoiding millions of tons of CO₂ each year.
