Sustainability

Certified from the forest
to the floor.

Manoa follows strict international standards of quality and sustainability. The certifications attest to the traceability of the timber and a genuine commitment to responsible forest management.

The Management

Low-impact forest science.

Individual tree inventory, 30-year cutting cycles and permanent technical supervision. We operate below the capacity the forest can offer — so it remains forest, generation after generation.

At the yard

From the forest to the yard.

Each harvested log is identified and numbered at the source and remains traceable to the industry — from the inventory in the forest to the management yard.

Certifications

Seals that prove the commitment.

Each seal is verified by certification bodies, attesting that the timber comes from a production process managed in an ecologically correct, socially fair and economically viable way.

FSC®

C018650
Forest Stewardship Council — the leading international seal for responsible forest management.

PEFC

PEFC/28-23-34
A programme that brings together more than 30 national forest certification initiatives.

CERFLOR

Brazilian Forest Certification Programme, developed within the scope of PEFC.

Verra / VCS

Verified Carbon Standard — certifies Manoa's REDD+ carbon project (VCS registration 1571).

Lacey Act

US legislation that blocks the entry of illegally sourced timber — Manoa is compliant.

GreenGuard

Attests to very low emission of chemical substances, contributing to indoor air quality.

Chain of custody

Traceable, from the tree to the final product.

Manoa's chain of custody ensures a healthy and sustainable production cycle — from identifying the tree in the forest to the final product at Triângulo Pisos.

Tree identification

Trees suitable for extraction are identified and recorded in a digital mapping system.

Forest harvesting

Only mapped trees are harvested, using reduced-impact techniques and directional felling.

Industrial process

The timber moves on to the industry keeping the same numbering assigned at the source.

Final product

Full traceability and rigorous quality testing, present on 6 continents.

Recognized by international organizations as a benchmark in environmental practices.

REDD+ Project (ID 1571) certified by Verra at CCB Gold level — validated by Rainforest Alliance and verified by Earthood, developed by Biofílica.
